Having just joined Master Concept, I was given my first important task: organizing the Google Solution Day with Google Cloud. This was an invite-only event held at the Google Taipei 101 office, and we were the main planning partner. For me, it was both a challenge and an excellent opportunity.
Fortunately, I had Google Workspace with Gemini as my intelligent AI assistant to help me quickly familiarize myself with internal processes, integrate data, plan the agenda, and collaborate smoothly with internal and external teams. This experience made me deeply realize that generative AI is not just an auxiliary tool, but a key partner for marketers to enhance productivity and influence.
Create a Personal AI Assistant to Easily Start Event Planning
To get up to speed quickly, I first created a dedicated Gem (a custom version of Gemini) named “Master Concept Event Planning Assistant.” It could assist me with repetitive tasks such as content writing, copyediting, summarizing, and brainstorming.
I just needed to give it instructions through text commands and upload relevant documents, such as brand positioning, event materials, and target audience information, for the Gem to grasp the context of the project I was responsible for. When planning the event copy, I could directly ask the Gem to write the event description, agenda details, and social media posts, providing more precise and persuasive language for different audiences.
Effortlessly Write Event Copy with Google Docs
Based on the event to-do list provided by the Gem, which included items like invitation letters, interview outlines, questionnaires, and social media posts, I used the “Help me create” feature in Google Docs to complete them one by one.
Taking the invitation letter as an example, I first input key information such as the target audience, time, and location, and could even attach relevant files from Google Drive. Based on this information, Gem could directly generate a 90% complete first draft, saving communication time. Afterward, I just needed to use the “Help me write” feature to polish sentences, adjust paragraph length, or change the tone to quickly finalize a formal and professional invitation letter.
Quickly Generate a Host’s Script in Google Slides
In addition to client invitations, Gemini can also be used to enhance the presentations on the day of the event. After the speakers finished their slides creation, as the host, I just had to open the Gemini sidebar in Google Slides and ask it to write a script for each slide, or simply input: “Please write a 1-minute opening script to welcome the attendees and introduce Master Concept,” to generate a natural and smooth host script. If I wasn’t satisfied with the result, I could continue to chat with Gemini in the sidebar to adjust the tone until I was satisfied, and then paste the content into the presentation’s speaker notes section.
Integrate Knowledge with NotebookLM, No More Fragmented Information
After the event, I used NotebookLM to create a note library, managing product information, event presentations, interview transcripts, demo videos, survey data, and attendance lists uniformly. Regardless of the source—whether Google Docs, Slides, YouTube, or a webpage—it could all be integrated into the knowledge base.
When I wanted to quickly find specific information, for example, “What were the development directions for the e-commerce industry mentioned at this Google Solution Day?” I just had to ask in NotebookLM to get a precise answer instantly and could continue to ask follow-up questions to delve deeper. The “Add note” feature in the middle column can save important information, while the “Audio Overview” feature can generate a natural, podcast-like audio summary with one click. Clicking “Mind Map” automatically generates a visual mind map, allowing for a quick grasp of the content’s context and structure.

This experience with Google Workspace with Gemini not only allowed me to successfully complete my first project after joining the company but also completely changed the way I handle complex tasks. From planning and copywriting to presentations and data integration, Gemini enabled me to complete my work in a smarter and faster way. This is not just a digital tool; it’s a great AI partner that every marketer should master.
